    Come learn about our Executive MBA program! During this information session you'll have the opportunity to meet with Admissions representatives and find out about the program and application process. Those interested in the Global Executive MBA program are also invited to come!

    Additionally, you'll then have the opportunity to join us for a presentation from our guest speaker, Mike Alderete, a Corporate Fellow and Executive Coach for the EMBA program and former Managing Director for Deloitte. He will be doing a workshop on "What it takes to be a Leader."

    Mike Alderete, Corporate Fellow and Executive Coach, Saint Mary's College of California

    Mike AldereteMike Alderete serves as a Corporate Fellow and Executive Coach for the EMBA program. In his role, he provides industry and professional perspective in a consulting capacity for the EMBA Capstone project along with co-teaching support to the faculty in select core such as Competitive Strategy, Managing and Leading Organizations, and Leadership Communications. He coaches, advises, and mentors EMBA students for their career development into leadership roles in their current and future organization. Working with the EMBA Program Director and Associate Dean, he is responsible for coordinating and managing the Executive Suite Professional Development Workshops and Executive Speaker Series for the EMBA program and the entire St. Mary’s community.

    Prior, Mike served as a Managing Director in Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy and Operations practice for Life Sciences and Healthcare. He has over 24 years of experience developing strategic plans to drive change, determining what capabilities are needed, selecting the optimal approach, aligning corporate objectives, business goals, and evolving business models. He has demonstrated ability to manage difficult large-scale change programs and solve complex business issues involving strategy, operations, and technology. At the senior executive level, he has frequently advised on and assisted in managing sensitive business issues through influence, collaboration, and diplomacy. He was also a part-time faculty instructor at Deloitte University for entering MBA’s and led Deloitte’s campus recruiting program at Harvard College. He retired from Deloitte in August 2017. Mike has an AB Degree in Biology from Harvard College and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
